Marine Biology
The book was a source of inspiration for contemporary naturalists and zoologists. Since then, the study of marine and lagoon ecosystems and of the organisms inhabiting them, develops in Chioggia over time. This seeded tradition is flourishing today in the research programs carried out by public and private scientific Institutions and in the Master degree in Marine Biology of the University of Padova.
